I finally took the time today to look at the Cuyahoga County Domestic Relations Court's new website. All of the original FAQ's and other court information are still there, but they have been expanded, The Court has also updated its forms, eliminated the drop down menus that might have been confusing to use, and created instructions that are easier to understand. The Court's list of links is also much longer and includes a link to our Library, the Cleveland Law Library. Overall, every page looks fresh and cleaner to read.
We just conducted our annual ethics, professionalism and substance abuse seminar, and the professionalism session covered tech-etiquette between different generations of lawyers. IInterestingly, a new article from the Columbus Dispatch chronicles various court policies on the use of cell phones at court by lawyers, witnesses, court staff and media personnel.
The Common Pleas Court for Cuyahoga County is considering proposed changes to Local Rules 24 and 27 governing foreclosures and sheriff's sales. Click here to view the text of the proposed new rules. According to the Court's Press Release, The Court Administrator will be accepting comments until January 22, 2010.
