Last Names A-L: Don't Forget to File Your Ohio CLE Transcript

January 31st is fast approaching as the deadline for Ohio attorneys whose last names start with A-L to file their CLE transcripts with the Ohio Supreme Court. Per the Supreme Court's Press Release, filing can be done by mail or online. Don't forget!

Ohio Supreme Court Considering Uniform, State-wide Domestic Relations Forms

The Ohio Supreme Court is considering adopting uniform domestic relations forms for use in all Ohio courts In a concerted effort to make domestic relations practice in Ohio more seamless, improve access to the justice system, and help out DR courts. The Court is accepting comments on the proposed forms until February 16th, 2010. The proposed forms are limited at this time and include: long and short forms for an Affidavit of Income, Expenses and Financial Disclosure; an Affidavit of Property; a Parenting Proceeding Affidavit; a Health Insurance Affidavit; and a combined Motion and Affidavit for Temporary Parenting Orders, Support, Parenting Time Spousal Support without Oral Hearing. 6th Circuit Has Updated Its Free, Online Criminal Pattern Jury Instructions

The United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit has updated its free, online criminal pattern jury instructions. Click here to read and review the changes the Court posted to its website on December 31, 2009.

Ohio Supreme Court Launches News Delivery System

You can now customize the type of news you want to receive from the Ohio Supreme Court. Beginning with the new year, the Court created a new delivery system and migrated all of its prior email users over so that they can continue to receive their customary news. The Court's Press Release indicates that the system is the first of its kind in use by a court in the US, although several key federal agencies have already been using it.

Cuyahoga DR Court Elects Judge Palos Administrative Judge

With the brand new year came the election of a new administrative judge for Cuyahoga County Domestic Relations Court. The newest of the DR Judges, Judge Diane M. Palos, takes over for the retiring Judge Timothy Flanagan and assumes management of the court's affairs. Click here to read the Court's press release.
