An article from the Washington Post has reported on Cuyahoga County Common Pleas' Court's apparent new policy to make banks and financial institutions get their foreclosure paperwork together in 30 days or the cases will be dismissed. The article quotes Judge Eileen P. Gallagher, who is the head of the Court's foreclosure committee. According to the article, this kind of decision-making is taking hold all over the country. Our library is having a Foreclosure CLE tomorrow at 1:00. I am sure our presenters, including Common Pleas Court Magistrate, Thomas Vozar, will discuss the Court's position and the brand new Affidavit required for servicers and lending institutions.
