Florida Homeowners Foreclose on Bank to Get Attorney Fees Paid for Wrongful Bank Foreclosure

This will make you chuckle. Florida homeowners who owned their home free and clear got sued by a bank for foreclosure. That is not the funny part. When the homeowners obviously won their suit and were awarded attorney fees, they filed a foreclosure action against the bank and sent out the Sheriff to padlock the bank's doors. Cleveland Law Library Board President Joseph Gross Installed as CMBA Trustee

The Cleveland Law Library Association would like to congratulate its Board President, Joseph Gross, who was installed as a new Trustee of the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association at its annual meeting on Friday, June 10, 2011. Mr. Gross is a partner at the Cleveland office of Benesch Friedlander, and he is Board certified by the Ohio State Bar Association in Labor and Employment Law.

Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association Issues 1st Advisory Opinion

The Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association has just issued its first Advisory Opinion. Interestingly, the Opinion answers the question: "Do the Ohio Rules of Professional Conduct restrict a lawyer's ability to have a sexual relationship with clients or others?" The short answer is yes, unless the lawyer withdraws from representation first. The full Opinion is available on the CMBA's website.

The new trend for lawyers and business people is to get away from the office for quiet phone calls, meetings or conferences. The name of this new trend where multiple people share the same space when they need it is called the "co-working office space industry." Although vendors are providing this quiet space for a fee, the Cleveland Law Library has been offering this service to members for a long time as part of membership for no additional fee.
