Crain's Cleveland Business reports that the Cleveland Bar Association and the Cuyahoga County Bar Association have taken major steps toward merging their respective associations. Although the members of both organizations must formally approve the merger, CBA President Kerin Lyn Kaminski is hopeful that the organizations will reach a meeting of the minds on remaining administrative and financial details. Not only did the Cleveland Bar Association President issue CBA members a letter announcing the proposed unification plan that both Bar Associations' Boards approved, but the associations also issued a joint CBA-CCBA Press release announcing the news.
