During its second year of credentialing paralegals, the Ohio State Bar Association (OSBA) has certified 42 brand new "Certified Paralegals." According to OSBA President Gary Leppla, these paralegals "meet objective and uniform standards of competence and professionalism." According to the OSBA, a certified paralegal "is a person, qualified by education, training or work experience, who is employed or retained by a lawyer, law office, corporation, governmental agency or other entity and who performs substantive legal work." Local paralegals who deserve recognition for achieving certification are: Tiny Murray Broz, Cheryl L. Bunevich, Marie P. Haessly, Donald Jungquist, Leslie Miller Lang, Becky Louis Rickelman, Amy K. Sanovich, Patricia A. Stauffer, Charles Thomas Stich, and Lindsay Michele Wilson. Congratulations to everyone who passed!
