The Ohio Supreme Court has postponed implementation of new rules for access to court records that were supposed to take effect in May. Instead of May 1st, the new rules will take effect on July 1st. According to the Court's Press Release, the Court extended the deadline "to allow more time for judges, court staff, members of the public and the media to become familiar with" the new rules. The Court has created its own Internet gateway to information about the rules and is scheduling training to help everyone understand the changes.
