Today, the Cuyahoga County Domestic Relations Court opened its new Information Center in Room 306C on the third floor of the Cuyahoga County Courthouse. This afternoon, I stopped by Room 306C to see what was going on, and there were balloons and donuts to welcome the public and attorneys to this new service sponsored and funded by the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association. Patrons need only sign in with a case name and numer to gain access to staff who can provide information and assistance, as well as 2 computers and printing capabilities. The Court's Web site thoroughly describes the focus and mission of the Center:
"In order to make the Court more accessible to the community, the Cuyahoga County Domestic Relations Court will open an Information Center on the third floor of the courthouse. The Center will be a central location where the public and attorneys can obtain forms and basic information necessary to pursue their cases. Individuals unfamiliar with the Court’s procedures may pick up packages of the documents needed for certain types of cases. Computers will also be available for completing some forms and calculating child support guideline worksheets."
